Council on Aging
Welcome!
The Acushnet Council on Aging (COA) and Senior Community Center is the Town's resource for those age 50+ seeking to increase their mental, social and physical well being. Located in the former Mason Burt School Building, the COA offers help with Fuel Assistance, Food Stamps, MassHealth, Medicare/Medicaid, home-delivered meals and more.
Looking for a new exercise class? We offer everything from Tai-Yo-Ba to Zumba Gold.
Our Mission: To advocate and support the community's older adults, their families, and their caregiver's while promoting independent and positive lifestyles, in a welcoming and secure environment.
Our Vision: We believe that all Acushnet residents should have access to services and resources that will allow them to age safely in the housing of their choice.
Our Values: Dignity and Respect, Professionalism, Advocacy, Teamwork, Community Building, Empowerment, Community Connectedness and Evidence-Based Approaches.
