Youth Employment Service Program

The Town of Acushnet has implemented a Youth Employment Service Program (YES), effective July 1, 2023. The YES is a program for Acushnet residents only. Eligible participants will receive up to $4,000.00 in direct wages per calendar year. This is in return for employment in a town department, board, agency or program. Program participants shall be paid an hourly wage of $15.00/hr. The program is open to 16 to 22 year old Acushnet residents, who are currently living in the town.

The Acushnet Town Administrator's office administers the YES program in conjunction with the Acushnet Board of Selectmen. The Recreation Director, in association with the DPW Superintendent, and the Chairman of the Golf Management and Operational Committee, shall serve as program coordinators.
