Shared Streets - Riverview Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The Acushnet Riverview Park Project ribbon cutting ceremony was held on October 29th to celebrate the hard work of the Acushnet Department of Public Works.  This project was empowered by the Shared Streets and Spaces Grant Program, which provided the Town of Acushnet with $12,917.50 to develop a walkway/bikepath on River Street between Slocum Street and River View Park which will facilitate outdoor recreation with proper social distancing.  This project is an important link in the expansion of safe recreational walking, jogging, and biking in downtown Acushnet.  The vision for this project was a collaborative effort between the Board of Selectmen through Selectman Wojnar, the Town Planner Henry Young, and the Department of Public Works.
