FULL-TIME PARAMEDIC / FIREFIGHTER
The Town of Acushnet Fire & EMS Department is seeking qualified candidates to fill one open full-time PARAMEDIC / FIREFIGHTER position.
The ideal candidate:
- Possess all certifications required by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to fulfill the job of Paramedic
- Possess certification as a Massachusetts Firefighter Level I/II from a training program sanction by the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy
- Lives within a distance to Acushnet which makes off duty “call backs” reasonable and practicable
- Possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license
Starting salary is $19.88 per hour.
The position works twenty-four (24) hour shifts following an existing work schedule.
Qualified candidates will be subjected to an intensive interview and screening process.
The department intends to staff the position in early September 2018.
