Fire Apparatus

Engine 1 is a 1992 KME Renegade Pumper equipped with a 1250GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank, and a 30 gallon foam tank. It carries hydraulic extrication equipment (Spreaders, Cutters, Rams), as well as inflatable airbags for rollovers and entrapments. Other equipment carried on E-1 is an AED, First Aid kit, portable generator, electric sawz-all, 6 SCBAs, and various hand tools.

Squad 2 is a 2007 International 4400 Chassis with a Rescue Pumper body built by Smeal Fire Apparatus.

 Engine 3 is a 1988 Ford F-350 Diesel Powered 4-wheel drive pickup truck, equipped with a skid mounted 125 GPM pump, and 200 gallon water tank. It serves as the department's brush fire and utility unit.

Engine 4 is a 1976 Ford / Bean pumper with a 1000 GPM pump and 800 gallon water tank. Engine 4 now serves as the departments reserve engine.

Engine 5 is a 1998 KME Excel pumper with a 1250 GPM pump, 1000 gallon water tank, and 30 gallon foam tank. It carries gas powered ventilation saws such as the K-9 and 'Cutter's Edge.' It is also equipped with a Thermal Imaging Camera and Combustible Gas Indicator.

  Tanker 1 is a 1979 Chevy Kodiak chassis with a body and tank built by Four Guys. It is equipped with a 1000 GPM front-mounted pump and has an 1800 gallon water tank that can be quickly dumped in about 2 minutes into a portable drop tank. This drop tank can be used to draft water in areas with no fire hydrants.

  The Special Operations trailer was purchased with grant funding and carries equipment such as Tyvek suits, Absorbent materials, and other materials used for Hazardous Materials incidents. It is also equipped with a Cascade System for refilling SCBA bottles at fire scenes

  Two Yamaha 660 Grizzly ATVs were purchased through a grant at no cost to town residents. These vehicles are used for off-road emergencies by both the Acushnet Fire and Police Departments.
