JANUARY 2, 1968 – JUNE 28, 2018

Rebecca M. (Brown) Monette, age 50, of Acushnet, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, June 28, 2018 in her residence. She was the devoted wife of Stephen A. Monette Jr., to whom she had been married for 30 years.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Eric and Peggy (Tower) Brown of Acushnet, she was a graduate of Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School in Rochester and received her Associate's degree from Cape Cod Community College in West Barnstable.

Mrs. Monette had been a Bookkeeper for the past 20 years, most recently working for Dartmouth Pools & Spa and consulted with other private entities throughout her career. She was a member and secretary for the Hope Evangelical Community Church in N. Dartmouth and loved her cats.

In addition to her loving husband and parents, Rebecca is survived by her sister Ann Rosa of Acushnet, two nieces and a nephew.

Her Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 10AM in Hope Evangelical Community Church, 88 Hathaway Rd., N. Dartmouth, MA. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 5 to 8 PM in the Hope Evangelical Community Church.
