Acushnet Road Will Be Closing for Bridge Repair

The Town of Mattapoisett and its contractor, Aqua Line Utility Inc., will be replacing the bridge on Acushnet Road.  The bridge, located about ¼ mile south of Tinkham Lane, has structural and safety concerns, and will be replaced with a concrete box culvert.

In order to replace the bridge, Acushnet Road is currently scheduled to be closed on or about July 19, 2021 and will be closed for approximately 1 month. 

The detour route is the same as proposed last year and a copy is attached for your information.   Detour signing has already been installed and is currently covered.  The signs will be uncovered when the road is closed.
