Acushnet EMA Receives State Certification

The Acushnet Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) has been certified by the State Emergency Response Commission. Doug Forbes from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency presented the certificate of certification to Director Gerard Bergeron and Town Administrator Brian Noble in a small ceremony at Town Hall on Wednesday, September 6, 2017.

Mr. Forbes said, "I would like to commend Emergency Management Director Gerard Bergeron, Deputy Director Jerry Sounik, Operations Officer Ed Caron and all of the members of the Planning Committee for their hard work and dedication. Thanks to their efforts the Town of Acushnet is a stronger and safer place in which to live and work. The State Emergency Response Commission has unanimously approved the Acushnet certification application. Congratulations on a job well done!"
