Curbside Collection
All recyclable material will be combined and collected every other week on
Saturday. Recycling days will not change when on a holiday trash schedule.
The following items can be placed in your blue recycling bin:
- Newspapers with inserts
- Phone books
- Office paper
- Magazines and catalogs
- Clear and colored glass bottles/jars
- Aluminum cans
- Tin cans
#1 and #2 plastic containers (Look on the bottom of the bottle or jar for the chasing arrows symbol). #1 and #2 plastics include milk jugs, detergent bottles, 2-liter soda bottles and most shampoo bottles).

Recycle the paper products on dry days only. No plastic bags
or soiled paper. Junk mail,
corrugated cardboard or paperboard are excepted. No paint or aerosol cans or other metal items.
Curbside Recycling Calendar 2011-2012: Trash & recyclables must be placed
curbside before 7:00 a.m.
Recycling Center
Hours:
Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and
Saturday from 8 a.m.
to 2:30 p.m.
Location:
700 Middle Road
Residents can bring the following items to the Recycling
Center:
- Phone books
- #1 and #2 plastics
- Clear and colored glass
- Aluminum and tin cans
- Cardboard
- White goods (refrigerators - remove doors, air conditioners, dryers, ovens, hot water tanks, microwaves)
- Used oil
- Fluorescent bulbs and other mercury-containing items
- Lead acid batteries
- Oil filters
- Scrap metal
- Propane tanks
- Yard waste (grass and leaves, branches)
