The Deputy Tax Collector is responsible for collecting all past due Motor
Vehicle Excise Tax due to the Town of Acushnet.
Responsibillites:The Collector's Office is responsible
for the collection of all bills issued by the Town. (Motor Vehicle Excise,
Personal Property, Real Estate and Water/Sewer). Also responsible for collection
of monies from other town departments such as; licenses, permits, tax title,
health insurance. Municipal Lien Certificates are also processed in this office
for a fee of $50.00.
If you are mailing your payment, it must be received in the
Collector's Office by the due date. Postage Dates are NOT
Accepted. Late payments will accrue interest and late fees.
